Train the manual handling assessor
Introduction
All work activities must comply with statutory regulations regarding the manual handling and moving of loads within the workplace. The main regulation is the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
Who is this course for?
“Training the Assessor in manual handling” trains key staff to become competent manual handling assessors.
Aims
To train the delegate to be able to carry out competent manual handling risk assessments.
Learning Objectives
Successful completion of training programme, the delegate will be able to:
• Identify the legal requirements of risk assessment
• Understand the manual handling regulations
• Identify the steps required to comply to the regulations
• Describe manual handling hazards and the risk assessment process
• Complete a manual handling risk assessment
Delegates will learn how to carry out a risk assessment and there will be a practical element to the course.
