Display screen equipment (DSE) assessor training
Introduction
The Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Regulations require an employer to assess display screen equipment workstations to identify health and safety hazards that may give rise to a risk to staff. Training must also be provided to DSE users.
Who is this course for?
Key staff who will trained to provide guidance to employees, carry out competent DSE risk assessments and train employees.
Aims
To train delegates to be competent and able to carry out DSE risk assessments.
Learning Objectives
At completion of the training, the delegate will be able to:
• Explain to those being assessed, the implications of the DSE Regulations
• Identify the steps required to comply to the regulations
• Describe the risk assessment process
• Specify what information and training DSE users require
• Be able to deliver basic DSE training
• Complete a DSE risk assessment (undertaken as part of a practical exercise)

• Anyone needing to be trained to undertake DSE risk assessments
• Any person who has some responsibility for ensuring an organisation complies to the Display Screen Equipment Regulations 1992.
