Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
Introduction
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, employers have a responsibility to provide safe and healthy workplace conditions as well as safe systems and methods for workplace activities. An essential element of any safe system is the knowledge and attitude of employees, and this demands proper training in the basics of health and safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.
This course is independently accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Aims
To provide the delegate with a basic awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace and to provide a knowledge based foundation which can be used as a basis to build on in health and safety.
